I have blogged before about how I admire Amazon’s associate program. Their widget solutions make it even easier to sell targeted products on your niche website. But to take it to the next level, to create a storefront, you really need at least some web skills – HTML, CSS and probably Javascript.
E-Commerce for Everyone is lowering this barrier by providing a hosted solution for Amazon storefronts. This is an interesting idea; we’ll see if it catches on. The vendor claims that freedom of design and video reviews are the key differentiators of his offering.
Non-hosted alternative: Instant Associate Store.
Free alternative: Amazon aStore (many limitations).

For those without web skills, there is a style customization service so that the customer can work directly with the web designer to create a custom look. There is also a showcase of sites on there, worth a look. Thanks for writing about E-commerce For Everyone.

William, sorry you feel that way about the service. Truth is, it’s a great service and it’s designed to pay for itself.
E4E is moving away from phones and switching to webbased only support. Personally, I don’t think there is a need to speak with an actual human anyway, since most of the tools are pretty self-explanatory, although I know there are one or two tools that could use a little video tutorial. It’s my understanding that those are on the way.

I just started with E4E and thought it had a great idea, but service is the pits. I was able to get through 2 or 3 time via email from the web developer guy Genesis Font, but my last attempt I asked a series of questions that I have yet to get an answers for. A shame I am not getting the support I should since I am a customer. It could have very good potential and committed clients if only they would answer there phones (which they do not) and actually have a working 800 number, which has been disconnected. I was looking forward to doing several sites with E4E, but lack of support and unable to answer my simple questions makes me want to stop doing business. I hope they will respond to my email so I can have some faith with something I feel is a great idea.
